Let’s get back to account set-up. As you can see, the fastest way to do it would be online because the email can take up to 5 business days. So let’s try and do it online. So to find a program, we’ll open the Fun Guide, and we’ll see there are four search options.
You can search by program – it’s good when you know what the program is called, or if you already have the barcode. You can search by map. Again, there are two maps for those programs that require registration or drop-in programs. Drop-in programs do not registration.

You can just browse the listings to see what’s available. And here are the kinds of programs that are .

Again, some of them require registration, and some of them don’t, you can just whenever you would like to. So you can choose from any of those – swimming will be here, something like soccer – obviously here.
Skating is separate. Under Fitness you have all kinds of gym programs.

Let’s try swimming, for example, just to show you how many different programs are available. Here is the list. So you can read more information about a variety of different programs.
Aquatic leadership is for somebody who would like to continue teaching in this program or who’d like to be a lifeguard would probably start here and other swim programs for other ages, but for children you would probably look for something here. Again, there are lots of programs for adults, for example, and then they are numbered or .

Some of them have really small groups, some of them are for women only and then you can go a level higher and let’s see what we have for children. For very young children, they can swim with a parent or a guardian, so the child is not alone with the teacher and his [or her] classmates, but with a parent or a caregiver. And again it could be only girls and they go by numbers, up to a higher level, only boys, and another level where they don’t have a guardian with them in the pool anymore, just the class and the teacher.
And then they are all the teams, and you see a of what you should be able to do in order to get into that program and so on. So keep studying this to find out what program would be good for you.

For example, I’m looking for a swim class. I know that the closest location to my place – let’s imagine – is Douglas Snow Aquatic Center, so I select it. Let’s imagine my kid is 5 years old, and it should show me all the programs at this location for this age group. You can see there are quite a few programs, so you can take a closer look at this program. Here is the barcode, which is not important for you now, but it will be the fastest way to find this class during the registration time. So this is who’s going to be in this group – children between six months and 5 years of age. This is the day of the program, the time, and the first class, the last class, where it is. If the time and the location, and everything else seems good for you, you can it. It will be added to your wishlist which you can later print as a PDF or save as an Excel, so that you could check it during the registration time. And again it gives you the reminder of when the registration is going to take place.

Again, before choosing these programs, make sure you read the descriptions of these programs. What does Guardian Swim mean? Who participates? And what a child should be able to do? Maybe there’s no -s for Guardian swim but for other programs there might be certain expectations that your child should be able to do before joining.

You can see for the same program there are quite a few classes – Saturday class, Sunday class, and then there is a Monday class. So keep looking, you will definitely find something that -s your schedule. And make sure to add what you like to your wishlist, but make sure you don’t add too much because that will make it difficult to select quickly on the registration day.
